What We Can Offer

As well as this, we can help with gold leaf, gilding, luxurious leather desk lining and wood embossing.

We are highly experienced in the use of acid catalysts, polyurethane, fire retardant and pre-cat, microporous water based and bar top lacquers, as well as more traditional French Polishing methods and materials.

Current customers find our interior priming service cost effective as it reduces the amount of preparation required on site prior to the final painting stages. This service can include the priming of doors, architraves, skirting, staircases and panelling in our workshop before transferring to site.

Our ‘on site’ service is both efficient and professional; we travel outside of Essex, to all of the Home Counties, whilst also maintaining a substantial workshop which offers ample accommodation for even the largest of projects.

All of our staff are qualified to a minimum of NVQ standard, are CSCS registered and CRB checked.

Richard Hopkins French Polishers adheres to all current Health and Safety legislation and is covered for Public and Employers Liability to £5 million.

So, if you require assistance with staircase polishing or furniture restoration in Chelmsford and throughout Essex, be sure to contact the professionals here at Richard Hopkins French Polishers Ltd.
